Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons between 2000 and 2007 before joining Netflix in 2014. It initially aired on The WB before moving to the CW for its final series.

Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show received critical acclaim for its witty dialogue and cross-generational appeal. The cult-classic drama was revived for a four-part Netflix miniseries in 2016.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life saw Lauren, Kelly, Alexis and Luke Danes actor Scott Patterson reprise their roles. Each episode follows the characters through one of the four seasons of the year, almost a decade on from the end of the original series.

Their adventures, dramas, love affairs, laughs and traumas are chronicled - proving that while our favourite trio might be slightly older, they aren't necessarily any wiser.

Fans and critics alike praised the mini series, with review site Rotten Tomatoes' consensus reading: "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life provides a faithful and successful revival of the quirky, sweet, and beloved series fans fell in love with over a decade ago."
