Manchester United stars, alongside at Euro 2024, are also taking part in the Copa America 2024, which is now in its third round of fixtures in the group stages.

Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho have taken to the US, which is also the destination for Manchester United’s Pre-Season Tour 2024, in the hopes of bringing the Copa America 2024 title for Argentina.

It’s gone swimmingly so far. Argentina have three wins out of three. Martinez has impressed, and Garnacho was awarded his first-ever start at a major tournament.

The other Manchester United player? Facundo Pellistri has been fabulous for Uruguay, particularly in matchday two.

Uruguay and Pellistri thumped Bolivia 5-0 to all but book their place in the quarter-finals of Copa America. Pellistri finished the match with a goal and an assist and terrorised the Bolivian left-back all match long. He was congratulated by his United teammates for this.

For his efforts, the official Copa America Instagram account decided to award him with a place in the Copa America 2024 Team of the Week.

The 22-year-old now faces USA in the final matchday of the group stages – before trying his luck in the knockouts. Could they go all the way?
