Tucker McCall hasn’t been on The Young and the RESTLESS for a long time, but his name has been mentioned on occasion and some viewers may not know who the person is. If you’re not sure or simply want to refresh your memory on the highlights there’s a solution for you! The character first came to the screen in December 2009. The character was played by William Russ for just a couple of weeks before being replaced by the DAYS of OUR LIVES star Stephen Nichols. He continued to perform the character till Tucker was written off on January 31, 2013. In September 2022, Trevor St. John was added to the team on Y&R for an unidentified role, which was later discovered to be Tucker!
A businessman with a high profile Tucker McCall made a splash in Genoa City starting an affair with Jill Abbott and signing a deal that he signed with Katherine Chancellor. He secretly took over the role of Chancellor, and then revealed that Katherine’s long-lost child was determined to get revenge by selling her estate piece by piece. In time, Katherine and Tucker got to know each other better and Tucker chose to keep Jabot to himself and gave Ashley Abbott the job of CEO.
While travelling to Japan for work, Tucker and Ashley consummated their marriage, but Ashley chose to remain in the company of Neil Winters. He then left and Tucker calmly comforted Ashley when they attempted to purchase Newman Enterprises’ subsidiary Beauty of Nature. He also backed Kay her great-grandson when her son, Chance Chancellor was believed to be to be dead. Tucker had a romantic relationship with Diane Jenkins, but eventually, he got engaged the proposal to Ashley and they were married on Christmas Eve.
A drunk Abby was able to run down Tucker and put him in a coma. However, Ashley accepted the burden for her daughter. Even though he was a DNR, Katherine and Ashley helped keep him from getting taken off life support. Kay was appointed the new CEO of McCall Unlimited, and he reverted the majority of his recent business decision-making. Tucker will also reveal that his son would inherit 20 million dollars if they found him. When Tucker awakened from his coma was with Ashley had been married. He was also suspected of being the culprit if Diane was discovered dead. Following the time that Tucker dismissed Devon Hamilton from his record label and fired Devon Hamilton from his record label, the two were shocked to discover their fathers and children were the same. Then, Devon’s mom, Harmony who was a drug addict, came to town as did Tucker and Devon gradually began to form bonds.
Ashley and Tucker’s relationship was already on a shaky basis however when she discovered him with Harmony and she was in bed with Harmony, it was the final piece of the cake. It also damaged the progress that he had been creating with Devon. Tucker began to advise Sharon Newman in business, which eventually led to joy, and the two were close to getting married, but Victor went back home to end the wedding. Tucker was then being investigated by the SEC and, after Sharon exposed his questionable business methods, he was detained. Sharon was later able to retract her testimony and was released after which Tucker was able to reconnect with Katherine after breaking her heart when she announced the move to Hong Kong. When Katherine died, Tucker was so devastated and unable to go back for the funeral.
Tucker’s name was mentioned in the year 2019 when lawyer Amanda Sinclair arrived in Genoa City with a revised version of Katherine’s will that claimed Tucker was involved in modifying the will to leave Devon her inheritance. In 2021 Devon told his tale of meeting with his father-in-law with Amanda who was struggling with her birth mother. There was also a rumour that Tucker had abandoned his riches and left the grid.
In 2022 Tucker was seen making a dramatic return to Genoa City, crashing Summer Newman and Kyle Abbott‘s vow renewal at the Abbott estate from an aircraft! The incident also angered Diane who was trying to keep her relationship with Tucker from being revealed following her return to the city. In their room within the GCAC, Tucker warned Diane that if she didn’t like her secrets to being revealed she could be an agent on his behalf in the case of the Abbotts as the two of them were committed to reuniting with Ashley.
Tucker said he’d experienced the experience of a near-death accident in Monaco and was reassessing his life’s priorities and was a new man. When Ashley was introduced to Tucker, she has not convinced about the story for a second and tossed the man out. Then it was revealed that the man was up to nothing because he was working with Audra Charles to steal Chancellor-Winters ‘ identity when Jabot went public and made use of Diane to find information to acquire Jabot! After Ashley allowed him to try again, Tucker knew she was trying to catch him and was attempting to score points by disclosing Diane’s connection to Jeremy Stark.
