It is fair to say that Enzo Maresca's Chelsea side are going to stand out on the pitch throughout the 2024/25 season. Ahead of the new Premier League campaign, the Blues have officially unveiled their new home kit for the upcoming season, with the unique design taking inspiration from flames as a new era brings "new fire."

As usual, the fans all know what the shirts look like by now. Leaks months and months in advance have already unveiled just about every single little detail.

The design is quite audacious, with an orange trim featuring on the sleeves and round the badge, with the club's official release describing the "vibrant" blue as the the hottest part of the flame and the "burning passion to succeed on and off the pitch."

Nike's latest creation stands out with a water-like effect, showcasing thin white lines and lighter blue elements across the shirt. This new pattern is enhanced by orange accents around the club crest, Nike logo, and shirt cuffs. The Chelsea badge retains its iridescent quality from the 2023/24 season.

Instead of last year's gold-tinged design, the badge now boasts a light blue inner shade with an orange outline. The Nike logo mirrors this with its own orange border.

The jerseys will initially be available without a front sponsor, but fans will have the option to purchase a sponsored version once a partnership is announced.

It's fair to say reaction to the shirt has been mixed. Responding to the club's post on Instagram, one fan wrote "Please, from the bottom of my heart, never sign a deal with Nike again"

Supporters won't have too much longer to wait to see their stars, including new signing Kiernan Dewsbury Hall, donning  the new jersey, as their first pre-season game is just around the corner.

Chelsea have six pre-season friendlies on the calendar this summer, with the first coming against League One side Wrexham in Santa Clara, California.
