Let us begin with our top story: A 11-year-old boy sustained burns after attempting a martial arts stunt at an event celebrating Tamil actor and politician Vijay’s birthday in Chennai’s Neelankarai neighborhood on Saturday, June 22nd. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the boy is seen trying to break a stack of tiles set on fire with his hands. The stunt turned dangerous when the fire caught his hand, causing him to panic. As he frantically shook his hand to extinguish the flames, the stage also caught fire. Bystanders quickly jumped on stage to help douse the fire.

Moving on, The makers of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film, Greatest Of All Times (GOAT), dropped a special action-packed teaser to commemorate the star’s 50th birthday on Saturday, June 22nd. GOAT, a Tamil science fiction action film, is written and directed by filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. It stars Vijay leading an ensemble cast that includes Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Mohan, Laila and Jayaram. In the teaser, he can be seen in an action avatar, where one of his characters is riding a bike and the other is in the passenger seat as they make their way through a foreign location. The background music in the teaser adds to the thrill created by the action sequences.

A day after her Thalapathy Vijay‘s birthday, Trisha Krishnan shared a picture with the Leo star on Instagram, sparking a mix of reactions online. Trisha captioned the picture and wrote, “The calm to a storm, the storm to a calm! To many more milestones ahead.” The photo, taken inside an elevator, shows Trisha in a printed dress and Vijay dressed in an all-black ensemble. Vijay and Trisha’s recent collaboration, Leo, premiered on Netflix in November last year and has been well-received by audiences. Vijay’s next project, Venkat Prabhu’s Greatest of All Time, is set to release on September 5, 2024.

Nayanthara and Nazriya Nazim, beloved actors from the film Raja Rani, recently enjoyed a heartwarming reunion. Despite not sharing screen space in the film, directed by Atlee, the two maintained a cordial relationship over the years. Their reunion, which was captured in a series of adorable photos, was shared by Nazriya on her Instagram. She captioned her post and wrote, “Finally …. And all love. What took us so long for this day.” The photos showcase the two actors alongside their spouses, director Vignesh Shivan and actor Fahadh Faasil. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan launched the trailer of his upcoming film Indian 2 in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 25th. At the trailer launch, the actor was asked by indianexpress.com about making strong political films that question the establishment given the current political scenario. he said, “We, as artists, represent so many of you people. Thanks to the applause, we believe that we are your representatives, hence we talk boldly, without thinking of the guillotine. Yes, there is a risk, the government can get angry but your applause puts out that fire, so make it louder.” Kamal played Senapathy in Indian where he fought against corruption, and this continues to be the central theme of Indian 2.

Filmmaker S Shankar has confirmed that the highly anticipated Indian 2 will be released in two parts and will be called Indian 2 and Indian 3. The third part of the Indian film franchise will be released in cinemas in 2025, a few months after Indian 2 releases in theatres on July 12. At the trailer launch event of the film in Mumbai, Filmmaker said, “I would like to explain. Because the part one only revolves around one state. Part one itself is 3 hours 20 minutes film. Now the story spreads all over the country, to all the states. So naturally the story has become big. Our initial idea was to do only one part.”

Lastly, For a while now, it has been rumoured that Jayam Ravi and Aarti are going through a difficult time in their relationship and are heading for a divorce. While the rumours have not been addressed by both Ravi or Aarti, the latter has deleted all her pictures on Instagram, sparking further speculation. The actress shared a post of Ravi’s debut film Jayam, hinting that all is well between them. However, her latest action has yet again raised suspicion about their marriage. In her bio on Instagram, She wrote, “I do not Influence. I hope to Inspire. Married to Jayam Ravi.” Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi’s Instagram profile continues to feature all pictures of his wife.
