Minister Festus Keyamo identifies policy harmonization in African Aviation, infrastructure development, capacity building, and public-private partnerships as essential contributions for achieving the Single African Air Transport Market objectives. He emphasizes the importance of liberalizing the African aviation industry to enhance connectivity, improve safety standards, and boost economic growth.

Keyamo said these in Johannesburg at the International Air Transport Association conference titled “Wings of Change Focus Africa 2024.” This is according to Tunde Moshood, SA Media.

The Minister underscored the need for Africa to realize the goals of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), highlighting the potential for increased trade, tourism, and investment opportunities that a unified air transport market could bring.
