Hamilton Boulevard resurfacing enters next phase

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Starting Wednesday, the next part of the resurfacing project on Hamilton Boulevard will get underway.

According to the City of Sioux City Engineering Division, grinding work will be done from 36th Street to the city limits starting June 26. Once this is done, the plan is to place the new asphalt surface after the Fourth of July.

Traffic will be maintained throughout the project. Resurfacing is expected to be completed in early August.

The contractor, Knife River Midwest, was awarded the contract on October 2, 2023 in the amount
of $2,304,864.43.
