Ghanaian world title prospect Wasiru Mohammed marked his return to the ring with a 5th-round knockout victory over Michael Akramah Tetteh on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Nicknamed the "Son of the Lion" or "Gyata Bi," Mohammed, a former WBO Africa Super-bantamweight titleholder and WBO Global champion, showcased his dominance in the ring once again.

Despite a prolonged absence, he did not look rusty as he delivered yet another knockout. Wasiru mounted a strong return to the ring, punishing his opponent and exercising his dominance.

The undefeated boxer sent a strong caution to Tetteh when he struck him with a powerful punch in the 4th round.

However, in the 5th round, Wasiru decided to end the bout with a decisive punch that sent Tetteh to the canvas.

The win marked Wasiru's 13th consecutive victory since turning professional. He boasts a knockout rate of 12 knockouts in 13 fights.

Wasiru is one of the boxers who has been tipped to win a world title for Ghana.
