Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Chelsea have turned down the chance to sign Jadon Sancho this summer after Manchester United reportedly offered the winger to the Blues, and a few other clubs.

Sancho has fallen out of favour at United after a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag, who remained in charge after winning the FA Cup, and the winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and played in the Champions League final.

According to reports in Italy, United have been offering the England international out and are looking to make a profit, and the Blues were offered the chance to sign the 24-year-old.

However – reports have claimed that CHELSEA opted against adding the winger to the side, just like Arsenal did last month

It is said in Italy that United have been offering the player out as they look to cut ties and get a fee in return for his services.

Jadon Sanco showed at the back-end of last season that the Bundesliga is the League that he needs to be in, that is where he plays his best football and that is where he should end up next.

We are sure that he will get a summer move at some point this transfer window as he is done at United under Ten Hag – which is a shame because he is a very talented player that can create and score goals.

CHELSEA do not really need another winger and that is probably the reason they made the decision not to make a move for Sancho – but it will be very interesting to see just where he ends up in the coming months that is for sure.

CHELSEA CAN SIGN CHIESA –

Juventus winger and long-term Chelsea target Federico Chiesa is no longer believed to be part of the Italian club’s plans.

Chiesa is a transfer target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United – As the winger is “very ambitious” about a move to the Prem and believes top-flight English football will enrich his career.

CHELSEA have suffered immensely in the flanks this term with Raheem Sterling underwhelming. Meanwhile, the North Londoners have heavily depended on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in their wings.

The Euro 2020 winner is now seemingly on the market after Thiago Motta took over as Juventus boss, as Sky Sport Italia state he could be “sacrificed” and is “on the market” for interested clubs.

Roma and Napoli are interested in signing the 26-year-old, but it is believed that Chiesa would be open to the idea of making a move to the Premier League this summer window.

IcFootballnews Opinion –

Chiesa is proven at the highest level of the game, has the ability to play in a number of positions, is a man that is made for the big games, and if he wants to come to the Premier League, Chelsea could be the ideal move to make.

The only problem with his potential arrival is that he is a starter, he will want to play every week, play every minute of every match and will not want to be backup.

Add that to his massive asking price – it is a deal that the Blues may not look to pursue unless they can get the Italian for an absolute bargain.

But the fact that CHELSEA do not have Champions League football – that could scupper any potential deal as the Italian is keen to keep on playing at the highest level.

CHELSEA CONFIRMS SUMMER EXIT –

Chinonso Chibueze has left Chelsea and completed a move to Championship club Stoke City, both clubs have confirmed this weekend.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘Having signed with the Blues as an Under-10 from Fulham, Chinonso moved through the age groups at Cobham and made his Under-18s debut during the 2021/22 season.

‘Further appearances for the Under-18s came during the 2022/23 campaign and last season, one of which was a two-goal outing in a 9-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

‘Good luck for the future, Chi Chi!’

Stoke put on the club website:’Stoke City Under-21s have added four new players to their squad ahead of the 24/25 campaign.

‘Goalkeeper Noah Cooper, defender Francis Gyimah and attacking duo Kieron Willox and Chinonso Chibueze have all signed professional terms in ST4.

‘Cooper, Gyimah and Willox arrive following successful trial periods at the end of the 23/24 season, meanwhile, Chibueze joins the Potters following several years in Chelsea’s Academy.

‘Willox arrives at Clayton Wood from Scottish giants Rangers, whilst Gyimah and Cooper join from Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal respectively.

Stoke are a big club that he could thrive in – and he will certainly be given a few more chances in that first-team in the coming seasons if he manages to impress his new coaches.

Chelsea was probably his dream – but this move is his chance to make it in the professional game – great much for the lad.

As for the Blues – they will continue to let some of their best talents leave the club in the coming months – they have a number that have left already and we are sure more is to follow.
