Cerebral Harvest Beckons As COPSUN Holds 7th Biennial Conference In Lagos

LAGOS – The Lagos State University (LASU) will hold high the torch as it leads other Lagos State-owned varsities to host the 7th edition of Biennial Conference of the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of State-owned Universities in Nigeria (COPSUN) from Monday, 8th to Friday, 12th July, 2024 at Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The other two varsities being led by LASU are the Lagos State University of Education (LASUEF) and the Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH) to play joint hosts to the Conference with the theme:
“Effective University Governance: Role of Stakeholders”

According to the organisers, the conference will open with a courtesy call on the governor of Lagos State and Visitor to the three varsities in the state.

On the agenda on the schedule of the programmes of the biennial conference read that the formal opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, 9th July, 2024 at Marriot Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu featuring as the Chief Host.

Senator Joshua Lidani, Chairman of the COPSUN, is the host.

Prof. Nuhu Omeiza Yakubu will deliver the keynote address.

The plenary sessions are scheduled to commence after the opening ceremony featuring notable scholars and prominent personalities like Prof. Julius Amioba Okojie, Emeritus Prof. Femi Baniro, Prof. Dapo Asaju, Chief (Mrs.) Mojisola Ladipo, Dr. Adolphus Wabara, former Senate President, Emeritus Prof. Peter Okebukola and a host of others.

Again, it promises a gathering of academic juggernauts for a cerebral harvest.
