New Delhi: K-drama Lovely Runner fame Byeon Woo Seok has claimed the #1 spot in the June star brand rankings, surpassing the long-reigning BTS. The heartthrob from South Korea’s Seoul has not only dominated the June brand reputation rankings for actors and actresses but also emerged as the top celebrity across all categories in South Korea.

Byeon Woo Seok gains top spot

Byeon Woo Seok’s ascent to the top has been fueled by his performance in the tvN K-drama Lovely Runner, which concluded in May. The show has remained one of the most talked-about dramas of the year, significantly boosting Byeon Woo Seok’s popularity.

According to the Korean Business Research Institute, his brand reputation index soared to 9,301,304 this month, a massive 60.24% increase from May.

Topping the list, Byeon Woo Seok has surpassed numerous well-established stars from K-pop, dramas, variety shows, and more. This accomplishment underscores his rising prominence and the impact of his recent work. The second spot in the June Star brand rankings went to trot singer Lim Young Woong, who boasts a brand reputation index of 7,475,945, indicating his continued popularity and strong fan base.

Pledis Entertainment’s boy group SEVENTEEN claimed the fourth position with an index of 4,033,667. The group’s consistent popularity follows the release of their comeback album 17 IS RIGHT HERE in April, which broke several sales records on its debut day.
