Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has alleged that Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State manipulated the Ondo All Progressive Congress(APC)governorship primary election in favour of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to help his predecessor, Yaya Bello, out of the alleged financial crime he’s currently facing.

The maverick cleric stated this on Sunday while addressing his congregants during the service in Akure, Ondo State Capital.

He explained that Governor Ododo was given the hatchet job by the national Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Ganduje as a condition to assist him setting his boss free from the chase of the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).

The cleric emphasised that there was no election on April 20, 2024, in Ondo State as claimed by Governor Ododo, who was the returning officer of the APC governorship primary election.

According to him, Video clips abound which showed that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa could not vote in his home town, Ward 4, Ugbonla in Ilaje Local Government Area on the day of the election because the people were chanting the name of a particular aspirant whom they wanted.

He said the people could not vote because the electoral materials and officials didn’t come to the town.

Pastor Giwa stated that the attitude of Ododo, Aiyedatiwa, and Ganduje indeed exposed the APC as heartless individuals who do not care for the feelings of the people.

He, however, charged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to carry out his independent investigation through the secret service agencies to know what really happened in Ondo State on the day of the primary election.

According to him, “It is unfortunate that the young man who found himself in a position in trust for the people is being used to manipulate the people’s desire.

“Mr. Ododo was given the hatchet job by Ganduje as a condition to set his boss, Yahaya Bello, free from the hands of the EFCC. You would notice that after Ododo had fulfilled what they wanted, they asked the EFCC to withdraw suit against Yahaya Bello.

“Why would Abdullahi Ganduje offer the people of Ondo State as the sacrificial lamb needed to save Yahaya Bello?

“Now he has delivered the hatchet job, and the EFCC boss is under pressure to drop some of the charges against Bello.

“Reports even said that there are plans to launch serious protest against the anti-graft agency and its chairman across the nation so that Bello could escape prosecution.

“The acclaimed APC governorship primary election Ododo claimed was conducted is a complete sham. There was no election. Videos clips are on social media, which revealed that even the acclaimed winner of the election did not vote in his unit, Ward 4 on that day.

“He didn’t vote because his people rejected him and displayed their loyalty to the aspirant of their choice. They were neither electoral materials nor election officials throughout the 18 Local Government Area of Ondo state.

“So, where did Ododo and his co-travellers get the results declared from?

“Look at the characters that came to Ondo State from Abuja. One of them led a group of thugs to invade the National Assembly in 2018 to steal the mace.

“I want to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to carry out an independent investigation on the true situation of things on April 20, 2024 in Ondo State so that he can do what is right.

“The people of the state would need to brace up ahead of the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election and ensure they elect someone who has the capability and intelligence to run the affairs of the state without minding the intimidation.”
