She was born Sept. 7, 1950, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Grace Braund Leash.

Connie was a 1968 graduate of Youngstown Chaney High School. She was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed drawing and art.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, George Penick, whom she married Jan. 5, 1973; a son, Daniel Penick and his wife, Kelli of Austintown; a sister, Carol Troll of Weathersfield; and three grandchildren, Owen, Ethan and Alaina.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Leash and John Leash.

Private funeral services were held.

Burial was in Kerr Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
