A 24-year-old woman was reported missing in Ohio, and her boyfriend fled from officers before being questioned, according to authorities and news reports.

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said it is searching for Raychel Sheridan, who was declared a missing person Tuesday, July 2, after not being found at her home or the surrounding area.

Authorities had searched her Plain Township home Tuesday because she did not show up for work the previous day, WHBC reported.

As deputies were investigating, they found Sheridan’s maroon Jeep Liberty being driven by 26-year-old Sean Goe, the sheriff’s office said. Goe was identified by multiple outlets, including WOIO, as Sheridan’s boyfriend.

Goe was pulled over, but deputies said he ran away. A K-9 unit searched the area and was unable to find him, the sheriff said.

The sheriff’s office said Goe has active warrants for burglary, grand theft of a firearm and domestic violence. He is wanted for questioning in connection with Sheridan’s disappearance, authorities said.

According to a criminal complaints obtained by the Canton Repository, Goe was charged with domestic violence in May when he made Sheridan “believe that he was going to cause her serious physical harm by saying, ‘I’m going to (expletive) you up!’”

He is also accused of cutting the tires to her vehicle, making her unable to drive it, the Repository reported.

Anyone with information about Sheridan or Goe’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 330-430-3800.

Plain Township is about a 20-mile drive southeast from Akron.
