LEWIS COUNTY — Kolenda Farm in Lewis County was among the 2024 NY Dairy of Distinction Award winners.

Since 1983, the NY Dairy of Distinction (DOD) program has been awarding qualifying dairy applicants the notorious Dairy of Distinction metal signs to hang proudly for all to see from the roadside. Applicants must ship milk and score a 90 or above to receive this distinguished award. Farms are re-evaluated each year by county representatives to ensure that farm owners are keeping up with the program standards.
