Feds arrest woman accused of fatal shooting on West Side

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A woman accused of fatally shooting another woman last month in the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood was arrested by federal agents in a building near where the victim was found.

The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force took Jasmine Spencer, 27, into custody on Friday in an apartment on the 3700 block of West 33rd Street, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. She was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police on a charge of aggravated murder in connection with the June 18 shooting death of Dontez Lilly, 38.

According to authorities, Lilly was found in the street on the 3200 block of Archwood Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Lilly was arguing with someone moments before the shooting occurred.

No additional details were released on the incident.
