In a message sent on behalf of Hezbollah Saturday, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah congratulated Pezeshkian on winning the snap presidential election. 

He wished Iran’s president-elect a successful term in office, hoping that Pezeshkian will achieve the aspirations of the "sacrificial and loyal" Iranian people.

He explained that Hezbollah and all Resistance movements in the region, "who have for many years been engaged in open confrontation with Zionist occupation forces" and the project of American hegemony, view the Islamic Republic of Iran as their [axis of] support. And this, according to Nasrallah, has been the case since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, under the leadership of Imam Khomeini, and later Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the successive governments under his guidance.

"We always view the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strong, stable, and permanent supporter for the Resistance [movements] and the downtrodden," he said.

The Lebanese Resistance leader said the Resistance movements would continue to tread on the same path until "achieving the final victory, the focal point of which is the mighty and powerful Iran."

Earlier on Saturday, Pezeshkian was announced as the new president-elect of Iran after receiving 54.76% of 30,530,157 votes. The reformist secured the title after beating principalist candidate Saeed Jalili in the second round of a snap election called for following the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on May 19.
