Singer Yemi Alade has continued to criticize the Lagos state government regarding the demolition of homes in the Mende area of the state.

Over the weekend, the state Ministry of Environment and Water Resources demolished these homes, citing that they were constructed on the state’s drainage system.

Yemi took to social media on Sunday, sharing a video highlighting how these demolitions negatively impact the real estate value of Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.

In a series of tweets posted Yemi expressed her concerns, stating that the state government’s actions discourage investment in Lagos real estate. She urged the government to consider refunding affected lawful buyers the funds they paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
