This Vijayadashami, it shall be a mega clash between Bollywood and Kollywood!

How so? Recently, Suriya Sivakumar’s ‘Kanguva’ has confirmed its release date of 10 October, which means it will directly clash with Rajinikanth’s much awaited ‘Vettaiyan’.

‘Kanguva’ stars Suriya Sivakumar in the lead role, alongside Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in the supporting roles. The movie will be directed by Siruthai Siva, who is well known for films like ‘Vivegam’, ‘Viswasam’, ‘Annatthe’ etc. On the other hand, ‘Vettaiyan’ stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside a huge ensemble cast of actors like Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, etc. The movie will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, who is well known for films like ‘Jai Bhim’ etc.

However, these are not the only two films releasing this Vijayadashami. Bollywood is also up and ready with films like ‘Devaa’ and ‘Jigra’. While the former is a cop drama, directed by Rosshan Andrews, and starring Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Kubbra Sait, and Pavail Gulati in the lead roles, ‘Jigra’ is an heist thriller, which stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead roles.

The movie is directed by Vasan Bala, who is well known for movies like ‘Mard ko Dard Nahin Hota’, which starred Abhimanyu Dassani and Radhika Madan in the lead roles, and ‘Monica O My Darling’, which starred Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Radhika Apte in the lead roles.
