A seven-months-pregnant woman was airlifted to the hospital following a severe car accident on the R617 near Mpophomeni, located on the outskirts of Howick, KwaZulu-Natal.

The incident occurred on Monday morning, creating a significant response from local emergency services.

Upon their arrival, they discovered that two vehicles had collided, with one of the vehicles rolling multiple times. The severity of the accident necessitated immediate medical intervention for the pregnant woman.

The pregnant woman was found to be in a critical condition, requiring urgent airlifting to a nearby hospital for advanced medical care. In addition to her, another individual involved in the accident sustained minor injuries.

This person was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to the hospital for further observation. Authorities were present at the scene to investigate the cause of the collision and ensure public safety.
