Celtic face three high-profile matches in their glamour tour of the United States and excitement is building ahead of the Bhoys travelling Stateside.

Before that, Brendan Rodgers’ men and Queens Park will meet on Wednesday night, following on nicely from a stalemate against Ayr United last Friday.

Nevertheless, preparations will start to ramp up once Celtic make the trip across the Atlantic, with fixtures against DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea in store.

Taking the fixture against Pep Guardiola’s Premier League holders in isolation, the champions of Scotland and England will meet at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

On social media, the Citizens have given Celtic some class billing in the lead-up to a clash that will be taken in by a large audience across the globe.

Manchester City big up Celtic ahead of exciting friendly clash

Taking to X, Manchester City’s official account has posted a promotional video ahead of the tie, giving both sides equal coverage as they prepare to lock horns. To see the material, fans must view the clip automatically via the social media platform rather than pressing the on-site ‘play’ button.

Depicting City and Celtic lifting their respective league titles last season, the video also contains plenty of fan footage, goals and celebrations, raising excitement ahead of the clash of champions.

With tickets starting from $65 (£50.62) plus delivery charges, there is plenty of availability for US-based Hoops fans or those travelling over to watch their heroes by clicking through the original link on the X post, which can also be accessed here.

The last time Celtic and Manchester City met was back in 2016/17 when Patrick Roberts earned the Bhoys a point at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League group stages. More memorably, the sides shared a 3-3 draw at Parkhead in September.

Some similar entertainment would be ideal this time around, and hopefully, the Hoops can play there part in a brilliant occasion at Chapel Hill.
