APGA Woman Leader Urges Council Transition Committee Chairmen To Uphold Party Philosophy

The Woman Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State, Mrs Esther Onyekesi, has charged the twenty-one Local Government Area Transition Committee Chairmen recently sworn in by Governor Chukwuma Soludo to ensure the domestication of the party’s mantra, “Be Your Brother’s Keeper” in their respective Council Areas.

Speaking to newsmen in Awka, Mrs Onyekesi described APGA as a political party for progressives with a clear vision and mission, and urged the transition committee chairmen to work towards internalizing the party’s philosophy at the grassroots level.

According to Mrs Onyekesi, the Transition Committee Chairmen should work in synergy with critical stakeholders of APGA in their various areas to bring even development to the grassroots and warned them against acts capable of bringing the party to disrepute.

Mrs Onyekesi maintained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has through his people-oriented programmes and policies, restored public confidence in governance, and urged the people of Anambra to continue supporting his administration.

Describing Professor Soludo as a governor with the interest of the people at heart, she stated that the series of infrastructural developments, especially the road construction programme of the Soludo administration, are clear indications that the governor is committed to improving the living standards of the people.

The Woman Leader charged Ndi Anambra to be alive to their responsibilities, especially in the area of regular payment of taxes and approved levies, to enable the government to continue serving them better.

While congratulating the newly sworn-in Transition Committee Chairmen, Mrs Onyekesi reminded them of the need to carry everybody along and emulate the all-inclusive governance of Professor Soludo, which she said has endeared the governor to the people of Anambra State.
