Lulu, 75, performs at Glastonbury showcasing her age-defying looks

Lulu proved that age was just a number as she took to the stage at Glastonbury on Friday. 

The singer, 75, showcased her age-defying looks as she wowed the crowd at Worthy Farm  after announcing her retirement from touring

The Scottish pop star looked incredible in black tassled trousers and a black shirt, while also sporting her bleached blonde locks and a sun-kissed tan.

Lulu - who was awarded a CBE in 2021 for her services to music - delighted fans at the outdoor show with a collection of her smash hits - and proudly brought her grandson on stage during the set.

She first performed at Glastonbury nine years ago in 2015 and performed this year in the Field of Avalon.

Also performing was new mum Anne-Marie.

The singer, 33, who recently welcomed her first child, baby daughter Seven, with husband Slowthai, cut a quirky figure in an oversized in an oversized silver dress with a bow.

She paired her outfit with some silver knee high boots and oozed confidence as she took to the mic and whilst sat on top of a pile of mattresses.Meanwhile on The Other Stage, Damon Albarn performed with The Bombay Bicycle Club.

The Blur frontman looked effortlessly chic in a green coat with matching trousers, which he paired with a white T-shirt and baseball cap.

During his performance he played the piano and energetically sang, before later switching his instrument for a guitar to show off his impressive musical skills.

Glastonbury Festival features around 3,000 performances over 80 stages. 

Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and iconic Pyramid Stage, the festival offers a diverse lineup of music and arts, embodying a spirit of community, creativity, and environmental consciousness.

In February Lulu told fans she would be doing no more live gigs on the road after her current tour following a glittering 60-year career - saying she felt 'unsupported' dealing with the heavy demands of touring last year.

The Eurovision song contest winner previously spoke about her 2015 Glastonbury performance, saying she was delighted with the reaction she got from the crowd.

She told HELLO! magazine a year after her performance, in 2016: 'As I went on stage at Glastonbury, the roar from the crowd was deafening.

'I was very surprised as I didn't really know what to expect. It was just fantastic and I had so much fun.

'My younger brother Billy is a musician and he told me that all the angels were looking down on me because the sound was perfect, the lighting good and the crowd was fabulous.' 

Following speculation that she was considering quitting touring, Lulu told the Rosebud podcast in February: 'I'm announcing it for the first time now - this is my farewell tour.' 

On her final series of gigs she told the BBC: 'To be honest with you, if when I was 15 years old and someone would have suggested I'd be doing a farewell tour when I'm 75, I'd have said "You are having a laugh."

'You almost need an army to go on the road and I don't want to do it like this anymore.'
