Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

It has been claimed again in the media that Manchester United are open to selling Chelsea linked Marcus Rashford this summer.

Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for Man United  just a few seasons ago.

He has really struggled this season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils, which is not good enough for a player of his ability.

However – there is again talk that Man United would be open to the idea of letting their academy star leave the club and there has been some stunning speculation that the likes of CHELSEA could make a move for the player.

The Sun have claimed that Manchester United are ready to lower their asking price for Marcus Rashford this summer as they look to get his £325k-a-week wages off the books.

Jose Enrique recently urged the attacker to quit Man United – Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, he said: “In my opinion, he 100% has to leave Manchester United. There’s too much pressure on his shoulders now and people are criticising him too frequently. He’s never out of the spotlight.

“I just think that mentally for Rashford, Manchester United has really affected him, he became the club’s talisman at a young age and that is a lot of pressure – he needs to leave England.”

Emmanuel Petit recently opened up and told the United star that he should consider joining Chelsea this summer transfer window – Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the Frenchman said: “Marcus Rashford to go to CHELSEA? Do you think Rashford wants to leave? I’m expecting Ten Hag to leave the club and I imagine Jim Ratcliffe will pump a huge amount of money into the club and a huge amount of players will leave the club.

“If Rashford is dedicated to the club he will stay, but I have the feeling that his story with United isn’t over yet.

‘I know he’s not happy and he’s going through a difficult time right now, but there’s so many players who are so far away from their right level that he has lost his ambition.

“Physically, when you look at him, his mood is not happy on and off the pitch and if I am Rashford, I would listen to offers, and maybe even Chelsea, but my priority would be the club I love and what happens in the summer.”

MARESCA WANTS DIOMANDE –

Chelsea are very interested in a potential Summer swoop for Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, sources have claimed.

There is still a lot of speculation surrounding the players that Enzo Maresca will look to sign during the summer window, especially now that Thiago Silva has left the club and decided to head back to Brazilian football.

That has led to some rumours in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA tried to get a transfer deal done for Diomande in the last few days of the last January window, but a €35million (£30m) bid rejected.

Diomande, who has an 100m release clause, quickly became a regular in the Sporting defence following his arrival at the start of the year, making his European debut against the Gunners in the Europa League.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Portuguese giants are said want the centre-back’s full release clause if they are to even contemplate selling the Ivorian, 20, but the MSN website believe the Blues are still taking a look at Diomande.

Diomande has been very impressive this season and it would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

And the fact that he would add depth to the squad for not a lot of money, it could be a great buy from that CHELSEA board and could be a player that adds some more quality to that Blues squad.

Many Chelsea fans would like to see a striker make the move to the club in the coming window – but Diomande would still be a good signing at the end of the season

CHELSEA CONFIRMS WILLIAMS DEAL –

Dylan Williams has joined Burton Albion on a season-long loan, which includes an option to make the move permanent.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘The 20-year-old joined the Blues from Derby County in January 2022 and during his first few months in our Academy helped our Under-18 side reach the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup while featuring prominently for the Under-21s.

‘He remained a regular and consistent performer at that age group and in January of this year earned a place on the substitutes’ bench for the first team’s FA Cup third-round tie against Preston North End.

‘All the best, Dylan!

On signing Williams said: “I spoke to Charlie (Webster) briefly on the phone and he told me about the process and the direction this club is going in and explained the reasons why he was joining, which made me want to come here even more.

“I was with Mark (Robinson) at Chelsea and he’s such a great guy, he’s probably one of the most honest guys I’ve ever met. He’s an exceptional person and cares about everyone that he works with on and off the pitch.

“To join a club that is going through such big changes and changes that are going to take the club in the right direction, makes it feel amazing to be here.”

Bendik Hareide said: “We are pleased to welcome Dylan Williams to Burton Albion. He is a young and talented left-back who brings a solid mix of defensive ability and attacking support. We are looking forward to seeing him grow and contribute towards our team.”
