The people who created the 'Hawk Tuah' video might be buzzing that their handywork went viral, but there is one thing they're less than impressed with.

Haliey Welch, 21, became famous in a matter of hours after she took part in an interview with YouTuber duo Tim and Dee TV last month.

Haliey was approached by the pair - aka Tim Dickerson and DeArius Marlow -

and as part of the Q&A, she was asked: "What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?"

Laughing, she joked: "You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thing!"

After the iconic moment, Haliey's video was watched by millions across the globe.

And things have been pretty busy for her ever since.

Not only does she now have her own team - including an agent - she's also launched a line of hats featuring her explicit catchphrase, which has already raked in an estimated $65,000 (£51,329).

If that wasn't enough, she even joined country music star Zach Bryan on stage to sing his hit 'Revival' in front of thousands of fans at the Nissan Stadium on Saturday (June 29).

Following the success of the clip, the creators - Tim and Dee - have had something to say on the matter.

And it's a bit of a complaint, based on the fact that they haven't had an ounce of the success and recognition given to Haliey.

“At the end of the day, nobody would know who she was if we didn’t bring it to light and post it,” Marlow told The New York Times.

“A lot of the audience who hadn’t seen us before think we grew off this one clip.

“People were treating it like we’re nobodies and didn’t already have a platform.”

Despite the success, Haliey has explained that fame isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

Since the video, she's revealed how her parents reacted to her being dubbed the Hawk Tuah girl and opened up about being inundated by 'disgusting' messages from people online.

In a clip shared to her official Instagram account (@hay_welch), she discussed the pros and cons of viral fame.

She began: "Three awesome things that have changed my life so far since all this has happened.

"Number one, I got over my stage fright," Hawk Tuah Girl said. "I sang in front of 80,000 people with Zach Bryan the other night - and I cannot sing for sh*t. But I did it anyway!"

And her third favourite thing about going viral is that she now has a reason to 'get ready more than one time out of the week', adding: "I'm not allowed to look like Adam Sandler anymore!"

However, she also opened up on the difficulties of fame.

"I have to convince my Pawpaw (grandad) not to shoot the paparazzi outside of our house everyday. Because they've been camped out here for like two weeks," she added.

"Number two, stop asking me for the link in bio for my OnlyFans. I don't have an OnlyFans and there will never be an OnlyFans. I just make funny jokes, that's all I do."
