ARLINGTON, Tenn. - A man accused of kidnapping was arrested in Arlington, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said.

On July 6, 35-year-old Tedrick Hall approached his ex-girlfriend at a restaurant in the town of Arlington, the sheriff's office said.

Hall's ex-girlfriend left the restaurant where he began following her car then entered the passenger side of her car with a gun, the sheriff's office said.

According to the sheriff's office, after Hall's ex-girlfriend was forced to drive to a restaurant in Cordova, she was able to contact a family member for help while in the restroom.

The family member reached out to Memphis Police who detained Hall until the Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputies came, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies found a Glock handgun and personal belongings inside of Hall's ex-girlfriend's car, according to the sheriff's office.

Hall was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and convicted felon in possession of a firearm, the sheriff's office said.
