Anambra State Executive Council, has approved the award of contract for the renovation of the Civil Service Commission Building in Awka.
According to a press release signed by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, the renovation will be completed in three months from the date of mobilization by BID Engineering Limited at the cost of Ninety-Two Million, Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty-five Naira.
The release noted that the construction of culverts to control flooding and palliative works to ensure easy movement of people, and farmers along the Umueze Anam – Umudora – Oromaetiti – Umueze – Nzam Road, which is a Federal Road in Anambra West Local Government and other adjoining roads that have remained impassable for many years, especially during the rainy season was awarded.
The release disclosed that the contract went to Guxon Construction Company Nigeria Limited at the cost of Three Hundred and Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira and will be completed in eight weeks from the date of mobilization to the site.
B and O Limited, the release further revealed, that won the contract for the construction of perimeter fencing, stormwater drainage culverts and chain-like fences of the additional land at Agulu Lake, Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area at the cost of Three Hundred and Sixty Million, Two Hundred and Ninety-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred and Two Naira, Twenty-One Kobo and the job will be completed in four months.
In a bid to ensure a decent accommodation for the army personnel stationed at Nawfija in Orumba South local government area, Anambra State Executive Council approved the contract for the reconstruction and furnishing of the Forward Operating Base of the Nigerian Army at the cost One Hundred and Forty-Five Million, Five Hundred and Ninety-One Thousand, Six Hundred and Ninety Thousand, and Five Kobo and the job will be done by Stansol Synergy Limited and will be completed within eight weeks.
