The devil trades on the souls of men for several reasons. The first is in exchange for power as we considered in the last part of this series. Today, we shall be considering other reasons and the next is in exchange for glory or fame. The devil in our Bible text, told Jesus that he would give him fame if only He would worship him. This is a soul trade proposal. Many people today have traded their souls in exchange for fame and wealth. This explains why some of them become, indeed, wealthy and popular, but die untimely. In the music world for instance, they have a group that can sponsor a musician to make his songs popular and trendy even when it lacks quality content. All of these are done in exchange for the soul. Some of such songs have demonic influence that captivates the souls of men and that is why we must be careful of the kind of songs we listen to.

Understand that God has ordained you to be wealthy, so, you need patience to follow God’s timing for the fulfillment of His plan for your life. What the demonic powers do, is to fast-forward the timing and destiny of a man through the ministry of soul traders. What you would have achieved in five or 10 years’ time, they bring it to you now in exchange for your soul. Such persons begin to live in fame and affluence earlier and so die early. May you receive grace to operate in God’s perfect timing for your life in Jesus’ name.

Another reason for the trade of souls is in exchange for children. Many years ago, a woman was desperately in need of children after over 10 years of marriage. She consulted a witch doctor, who took her to a junction where two rivers met. The demon in charge of that territory was invoked and told the woman that she would have six children, but that the first one, which would be a female, would belong to the shrine. It came to pass that the woman really had six children and the first was a lady, but her life was full of miseries. Every attempt this young lady made to settle down in marriage ended up in sorrows because each of the time, the husbands died. She also attempted courtship at two different times and each of the fiancé died too. The last courtship she had, the man suddenly developed cancer of the throat. It was at this point it dawned on her that something was wrong somewhere and she was directed to me for prayers. Through spiritual investigations, it was revealed that the lady’s mother knew what was wrong. The woman then confessed all that she did while looking for children many years back. She got the children she desired, but in exchange for souls. Imagine the pains the daughter went through and the terror of losing five men because she had been covenanted and dedicated to a demon. May God cancel every evil covenant speaking against your soul.

• Satan, hear the word of the Lord, I belong to Jesus and my soul is not for sale.
• Mistakes of my parents adding to the battles of my life, in the name of Jesus, clear away by fire.
• Battles assigned to sink me or my destiny, in the name of Jesus, scatter by fire.
