In its bid to combat and bring the current surging predicament of insecurity including kidnapping, armed robbery and banditry to its kneel, the chairmen of the trio local councils Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo constititing the old Irepo Federal Constituency on Thursday held a joint security meeting with traditional coucil leaders, stakeholders and heads of security agencies in the constituency.

The meeting which was conveyed by the Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola TT, is aimed to address security challenges particularly illegal mining activities in the Old Irepo Federal Constituency.

At the meeting, the Irepo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olayiwola TT, alongside others applauded the Chief Security of the State H.E Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, as well as his his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal for taking a proactive step in addressing security challenges.

They equally commended Governor Makinde for giving necessary supports to security agencies to ensure protection of lives and properties across the state. 

Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Operation Burst, West Nigeria Security Network – Amotekun were among security agencies who graced the occasion.
