Young Nigerian Woman Killed By Enforcers Of Illegal Sit-At-Home Order Two Days After Her Engagement In Anambra, Funeral Set For Thursday

Ochiagha from Umunshim Amadunu Ebenesi Nnobi in the Idemili South Local Government Area of the state was among the three persons killed in Nnobi on June 17 during a gun battle between some armed men and security operatives.

Miss Ifeoma Amarachukwu Ochiagha, 22, who was killed last Monday in Anambra State by gunmen enforcing illegal sit-at-home will be buried on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Ochiagha from Umunshim Amadunu Ebenesi Nnobi in the Idemili South Local Government Area of the state was among the three persons killed in Nnobi on June 17 during a gun battle between some armed men and security operatives.

She was killed two days after she was engaged to her fiancé.

The armed men operating in a red SUV, had abducted a resident of the state in Nnewi by 1:30 pm on June 17 and were trailed to Nnobi, where they engaged security operatives in a gun battle.

During the gun duel, one of the security operatives was fatally hit by a bullet and due to the indiscriminate shooting by the hoodlums in an attempt to escape the scene, bullets also fatally struck two innocent passersby in the area.

The Police Responding Team at the scene recovered the bodies of the victims and took them to the hospital but three of the victims including the 22-year-old Ochiagha were confirmed dead by the doctors.

According to a burial arrangement poster seen by SaharaReporters, she will be buried on Thursday at her father, Timothy Ochiagha’s compound in Umunshim Amadunu Ebenesi Nnobi.
