“It was a bad night,” said Democrat leaders in reference to the earliest presidential debate ever. For most Americans President Joe Biden’s performance was a chilling experience to observe.
In a recent CBS poll, 72% of Americans believe that Biden is not mentally fit to be president.
This is a profoundly serious assessment that could warrant not just his stepping down as a candidate for the November election, but also his immediate removal from office per a resignation or via invoking the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
America may not be aware that we have a smoking gun per this matter. Like former President Richard Nixon’s infamous tapes, crucial evidence of that kind involving Biden’s mishandling of classified documents has been suppressed by his administration and Attorney General Merrick Garland. The latter has been deemed to be in “contempt of Congress.”
The liberal media has glossed over this consequential matter. Garland has stubbornly refused to release the deposition video in the case, even risking the possibility of arrest to protect Biden from a potentially irrefutable and damaging revelation.
The reason given by Special Counsel Robert Hur for not indicting Biden on the mishandling of classified documents was that he was mentally impaired and old. America must see those videos. They could be conclusive evidence of a president who is a clear danger to America due to his declining cognitive abilities.
There is precedence for such actions. Former President Bill Clinton’s deposition video was released, which led to him pleading guilty to a felony in a sex scandal.
Now, it is imperative for the nation to view the Biden deposition video as a matter of national security.
Internationally, our friends and foes witnessed what we saw last week. It has only emboldened or simply confirmed to our enemies our quagmire and has created trepidation among our allies. In less than a week’s time we have had a major terrorist threat to American soldiers in Europe. They are on high alert today.
It cannot merely be about the politics of a November election. It must be about the safety of America and her allies today.
You may ask, “How about former President Donald Trump’s performance at the debate?” Well, there are lies, and then, there are lies. But there are lies meant to impress, and there are lies meant to deceive. Neither form should be condoned.
The lies of Trump are like those of a seventh grader who is trying to intimidate the guys and impress the pretty girls. The lies of the Democrats are not so innocent or innocuous. They are meant to deceive the public. Their lies could hurt you or destroy the entire school. It is like saying the fire alarms have been tested and they work just fine, when in reality, they were not tested and they do not work. Still those who tell the lies are willing to take a chance, risking the lives of everyone in the school. But, they feel, what are the odds of a fire?
The Democrats’ attempted hoodwinking of the public all started when they tried to convince America that Biden had it “all together.” They knew this was a lie. In a May column I stated that the only reason Democrats wanted an early debate was to switch out Biden. Anyone involved in politics for more than a “minute” would be able to see that possibility.
They knew, as they witnessed his decline firsthand, that Biden did not have it anymore. That is no fault of his own – caused by father time. He is old. He is limited to reading off a teleprompter and doing six hours of work per day.
Who knew? Former President Barack Obama knew (as he guided Biden off the stage at a fundraiser). Biden’s staff knew as they shielded him from the press’s tough questions. World leaders knew as they guided a wandering Biden back to a photo-op. Democrat leaders knew. Why? Because the American people knew this as well, though some refused to admit it.
The conservative media, often harshly criticized by the Democrats, was merely showing us the facts, the videos. And the liberal media, at times an appendage of the Democratic establishment, not Biden, knew as well, but lied to us and claimed the conservative media was just “hating” on Biden.
Democrats’ disingenuous political spin to keep Biden afloat continues. The damage is already done, however. If Biden does continue in the race, repeated campaign ads of his debate performance will inundate the airways.
For Democrats, the “selling” of Biden has failed but an attempt to sell us the Brooklyn Bridge may be next.
Biden and the Democrats have gotten us into two wars. They failed in their use of sanctions to deter a Russian attack on Ukraine. And they failed when they released billions of dollars of previously frozen assets to Iran, which was followed by an attack on Israel by Iran’s proxies. The latter have also bombed our military bases in the Middle East.
We now have Russian warships less than 90 miles from our shores. In early 2023, a Chinese spy balloon traveled across our country. We’ve been bullied by Russia and China near Alaska. Our border with Mexico has been witnessing an invasion for three-plus years. And we had soldiers needlessly killed during our exit from Afghanistan.
Like Bidenomics’ failure to “cure” inflation, Biden’s foreign policy failures leave his administration with one thing to brag about: a united NATO that is “more” united. That is inane.
Meanwhile, Russia has been building stronger alliances with our adversaries today than ever before.
While Democrats fear losing in November, I am more concerned about America getting through until January 20, 2025, with Biden as president. Serious thought must be given to invoking the 25th Constitutional Amendment which would allow the Cabinet to remove the president due to his being unable to perform his duties, replacing him with the vice president.
But Biden’s “insurance policy” to prevent such action has always been the least qualified vice president in America’s history, Kamala Harris. But that may no longer be the case.
