His Exc.The Senator Otunba Engr Gbenga Daniel, FNSE, FAEng commended the initiator of the bill aimed at bringing medical healthcare to the people. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, citing the adage "health is wealth."

However, he pointed out the omission of the Ijebu division, which he represents, from the list of areas slated for medical facilities. He highlighted the historical significance of the Ijebu division and reminded his colleagues that it is one of the oldest and most prominent divisions, with nearly 50% of the state's local governments under its umbrella. While many other divisions have been created into states, the Ijebu division remains a vital part of Ogun State, comprising six local governments, in addition to three from the Remo area, totaling nine local governments out of 20 in the state

He noted that while there is a functional Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Abeokuta, the distance and poor road conditions make it inaccessible to people in Ijebuland, taking up to 3-4 hours to reach. Senator Daniel appealed for the inclusion of a Federal Medical Center in Ijebu-Ode, the capital of the Ijebu division, in the bill.
