The Aku Uka of Wukari and Chairman of the Taraba State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, Dr Manu Ada Ali, on Saturday night, lauded the integrity and uprightness of the state Chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya.

The monarch lauded the CJ while presenting a plaque to him, in recognition of his adherence to his integrity, uprightness, and impartiality in the administration of justice, at a civic reception held in his honour in Wukari, Taraba State.

Ali also commended Justice Agya for upholding the rule of law and reinforcing the judiciary’s independence.

“Hon. Justice Agya is a distinguished son of Wukari, known for his integrity and excellence in his legal career, both as a lawyer and a judge. He has also supported many young lawyers in their careers,” Ali stated.

The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Yakubu Maikasuwa (SAN), lauded the Wukari Traditional Council for honouring Justice Agya, describing it as a well-deserved recognition.

The Gara of Donga, Chief Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura, in his goodwill message, described the chief judge as an upright man who had made significant contributions to the judiciary.

He prayed for Agya’s elevation to the Supreme Court of Nigeria, so his contributions could benefit the entire nation.

The Chief of Takum, Sopiya Gboshi, said he was personally inspired by Justice Agya as a young lawyer and urged young people to emulate his virtues of integrity, impartiality, fairness, and boldness in justice administration for a better society.

In his vote of thanks, Justice Agya said his journey in the Taraba State judiciary had been guided by God.

He thanked the Wukari traditional council for the honour and pledged to continue positive contributions to society.
