E. E. Isong, Esq., a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Idemili Branch and Secretary of the Young Lawyers Forum of the branch, was allegedly assaulted and humiliated by a police officer while carrying out his lawful duties at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Awka, Anambra State on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The incident has sparked outrage within the legal community, with many condemning the actions of the police officer involved.
