AN ICONIC sports car that's been talked up by Car SOS star Fuzz Townsend in the past can now be yours for just £8,000.
The motoring guru previously opened up on what he thought were the best retro cars that petrolheads can pick up and then sell for a profit.
That included the legendary Porsche 944 - which was once one of the German brand's most successful sports cars.
Built between 1982 and 1991, over 163,000 of these motors were produced - and they've become hot favourites among collectors.
They certainly look the business, complete with pop-up headlights, stylish curves and a quirky hatchback design.
Writing for Classic Cars For Sale, Fuzz - who's a renowned car expert, famous for his TV show Car SOS - said: "There's rising love for Porsche's brutish four-pot mile-muncher.
"Decent fixed-head examples with mileage of around 100,000 to 200,000 can still be had for as little as £3,500, but you'll have to search hard for a well-documented and cosseted example.
"Current trends show that sellers are often looking for around £4,500 to £6,500, so it could be worth keeping one's eyes peeled."
But for a really nice example, it looks like you might have to splash out around £8,000 - which still makes the 944 a pretty good bargain sports car.
We recently stumbled across a 2.5-litre coupe 944 on the Autotrader website for that price, and it looks to be in pretty good nick.
With just over 100,000 miles on the clock, this 1987 beast has "only superficial problems" but is said to "drive well."
The listing said: "Good condition and drives well, after market sports exhaust and brand new clutch fitted.
"Stored in a garage the whole time I've owned it, comes with a Porsche car cover.
"Very fun classic sports car, well known for 50/50 weight distribution so handles brilliantly."
The current owner adds that its 2.5-litre engine is "punchy and controls are very tactile and satisfying," concluding that it's "just fun to drive."
In the past, the 944 has been known as one of the 'poor man's Porsches' - but our friend and car expert James Russell of The Motor Grid has championed these motors and even claims they "handle and drive better than most 911s."
Elsewhere, Porsche recently ended a 60-year tradition by removing two iconic design features from the new 911.
