SALT LAKE CITY — Ajay Mitchell tallied a game-high 21 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to an 80-77 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Salt Lake City Summer League on Wednesday at Delta Center.

The game got out to a competitive start and after a few lead changes, the Grizzlies held a one-point edge heading into the second quarter. The pace slowed but the score remained tight, while the Thunder shifted in front with a one-point lead by halftime. The Thunder made a run to go up by six points early in the third, but the Grizzlies clawed back to make it a one-point deficit going into the final frame. The score stayed close to begin the fourth, but the Thunder rallied to an eight-point lead with just under four minutes left and maintained the upper hand the rest of the way.

Mitchell shot 7-for-9 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds to go with his game-high scoring effort for the Thunder. Ousmane Dieng followed up with 17 points, four rebounds, eight assists and four blocks, while Adam Flagler chipped in 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting, including 2-for-6 from deep.

Trey Jemison led the Grizzlies with 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting, seven rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes of action. GG Jackson followed up with 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Timmy Allen and Scotty Pippen Jr. totaled 17 points each.
