LAGOS – The Onitigbo of TigboIlu, Aworiland, Oba Victor Taiwo Thomas-Fagbayi has said the recent emergence of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State as the Chairman of the Southern Nigerian Governors Forum would further drive socio-economic development in the region and Nigeria in general.

In a congratulatory message to Governor Abiodun signed by his Special Adviser, Public Communication, Debo Akinyemi, Oba Thomas-Fagbayi said the Forum had made a good choice of leadership.

According to him, Abiodun has the wherewithal to lead the Forum, considering his impressive score card as a second term governor.

” Electing our vibrant Governor of Ogun State to succeed the former visionary Chairman, late Oluwarotimi Akerodolu of Ondo State, the Southern Governors Forum has demonstrated a strong belief in the leadership qualities of His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun. And this is a thing of pride to us the good people of Ogun State.”

The Onitigbo expressed confidence that Abiodun would galvanize his colleagues in the Forum to offer the needed support for all the Federal Goverment’s policies aimed at resucitating the economy of the country.

So the Southern Governors Forum under the leadership of Governor Abiodun represents a robust platform of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s frantic effort to come up with the silver bullet to revive the country’s ailing economy” Ova Thomas-Fagbayi noted.
