It's more of a philosophical question because I don't have any opposing facts regarding this move. I just remember that installing the latest iOS on an iPhone 4s was a big mistake. Is that the case here? Will my battery life, background processing, and CPU load in ordinary scenarios be the same, better, or worse? I'm currently using macOS Catalina.

I have a MacBook Pro with a discrete GPU. I hope Monterey can fully utilize its features.
