SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WXIX) - The Springboro Police Department released video of a man hitting one of its police cruisers after a McDonald’s refused to give him free food.

Police say they were called to the McDonald’s after the suspect, Brandon Tripp, refused to pay for food in the drive-thru and refused to leave.

Video from the Springboro police showed officers talking to Tripp and asking him to pull out of the drive-thru.

“Do me a favor and pull over here in one of these spots and we’ll get it figured out for you, alright?” an officer said.

“It’s my last day man,” Tripp said.

“Last day of what? What do you mean it’s your last day?” the officer asked.

“As in ... I’m going to jail,” Tripp said.

Police say the video showed Tripp hitting a cruiser before leading officers on a chase around Springboro.

He was eventually stopped by police and arrested. The 34-year-old was indicted for failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony.

Tripp was arraigned on Wednesday. He’s in the Warren County jail on a $50,000 bond.
