HITC understands that Liverpool have made contact with Real Madrid officials to check on both Arda Guler and Rodrygo this summer.

The Reds are looking to bolster their forward line ahead of the new season and have shown an interest in both Madrid stars.

The Spanish giants have been inundated with interest about Turkey star Arda Guler, not only because of his superb performances in Euro 2024 but the imminent arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick raise questions over where – and how often – the 19-year-old will play.

Liverpool have made contact over Guler’s availability and HITC understands that the Merseyside club have also asked about the situation of Rodrygo.

Liverpool have shared a long-term interest in the Brazilian winger and this summer could see him become available.

Rodrygo is also waiting to see how his future pans out, but HITC understands that there is concern in his camp but the player wants to fight for his place.

Liverpool loan deal for Arda Guler could be on the cards

HITC understands that Madrid president Florentino Perez has no intention of letting Arda Guler leave the club on a permanent basis this summer.

However, a loan deal for the Turkey star could be possible with Carlo Ancelotti eager to take a close look at him in pre-season before a decision is made.

Guler would join a star-studded attack at Anfield that includes Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.

But with Salah not getting any younger and rumours of an exit getting stronger, Liverpool must be on the lookout for a young replacement and Guler fits the bill.

Arne Slot will be looking to make his mark on this Liverpool squad and Guler appears to fit his high-energy style of play.

Despite his lack of game time in Madrid, Guler has already proved his goalscoring ability with six goals in 12 appearances for the club.

Anfield could be the perfect stomping ground for Guler to get his club career back on track while still playing at the highest level in the Champions League.
