A non-governmental Organization in Sokoto Asattahir International foundation distributed 7,775 items to refugees in Isa town, headquarters of Isa local government area of Sokoto state.

Leader of the foundation, Alhaji Sayeed Ali, disclosed
that Sayeed Ali who disclosed this to newsmen, said that about 1,600 people in Isa refugee camps benefited from the gesture.

He said that the foundation had secured the items from an International Donor Organization, European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation through the assistance of Danish Refugee Council DRC

The items distributed included blankets, rubber mats, water storage containers, buckets , toilets soap, detergents, mosquito nets, cooking stuffs, plates, hygiene stuffs for women among others

Sayeed Ali said that the gesture was intended to support people in the refugee camps to alleviate their suffering.

He said the victims are seriously in psychological and economic trauma

He said that similar gesture had earlier been distributed to vulnerable people in Tangaza local government refuge camps

Alhaji Sayeed Ali called on the people especially well to do in the society to support people in the refugee camps because according to him the victims are currently dire need

He said that the foundation will continue to scout for assistance to the vulnerable people especially those in the refugee camps because according to him the victims are in dire need of such assistance
