The military leaders of Niger Mali and Burkina Faso formed the Alliance of Sahel States.

They formed the alliance on Saturday after all three ditched French and US military influence in their territory in recent years.

RT quoted Burkina Faso’s Captain Ibrahim Traore said,”This continent has suffered and continues to suffer from the fire of the imperialists.

“These imperialists have only one cliché in mind: ‘Africa is the empire of slaves”.

The AES confirms their divorce from ECOWAS, which they consider a puppet organisation of western powers, and which holds a summit in a few days time.
