The 2024 Olympic Games kick off next week in Paris with a massive undertaking for an Opening Ceremony slated for Friday, July 26th in downtown Paris. Wrestling is among the latest Olympic events to get started with early matches on Monday, Aug. 5 and competition in the Men’s Freestyle and Greco-Roman and Women’s Freestyle divisions running through Sunday, Aug. 11.

All wrestling matches from the 2024 Olympics will stream live on Peacock with TV coverage planned on USA Network with tape-delayed wrestling action set to air all seven days of the Olympics competition.

The Pennsylvania and Penn State connections run deep on the United States men’s freestyle team, which is as follows. Penn State’s Nittany Lion Wrestling Club has four of Team USA’s eight starters, including PSU national champs Zain Retherford and Aaron Brooks at 65 and 86 kilograms, respectively. Kyle Dake (Cornell) and Kyle Snyder (Ohio State) both opted to train at the NLWC after standout careers at their respective schools.
