Ernest Nuamah joins Lyon on permanent move
Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah has completed a permanent move to French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais.
The 20-year old spent the last season on loan at Lyon from Belgian club Melenbeek.
Although he only scored 3 goals as provided 2 assists in 33 appearances, the Black Star proved OL officials that he is a promising player and they signed him permanently.
“Olympique Lyonnais announces the definitive acquisition of Ghanaian international striker Ernest Nuamah, from RWDM, for a period of 4 years, i.e. until June 30, 2028. The amount of the transfer amounts to €28.5m”, the club statement reads.
Nuamah is the third African player Lyon are signing this summer after Saïd Benrahma (Algeria, option to buy purchased) and Moussa Niakhate (Senegal) from Nottingham Forest.
