With stormy weather looming over Lewiston, Artpark & Company successfully shifted its annual Strawberry Moon Festival to the Mainstage Theater. The event highlighted Native American culture with a marketplace, a captivating smoke dance competition, and performances by headline artists.
Artistic Display:
A special theatrical production titled 'Gifted by Creator' mesmerized the audience with its portrayal of interconnectedness and responsibility. The performance featured talented artists such as Michele-Elise Burnett, Geneviéve Gros-Louis, Tonemah, Leah Shenandoah, Jordan Smith, Ariana Smith, and Violet Printup Richards.
Message of Peace:
Adding to the cultural celebration, a group of Buddhist monks on a 'Walk for World Peace' journey made a stop at Artpark, spreading their message of harmony and unity. The monks were warmly welcomed on stage and shared moments with attendees.
