A woman who led Eastpointe and Roseville police on a high-speed chase through both cities Friday morning while driving a stolen vehicle is still at large.

According to a report that aired on WDIV-TV (Channel 4), Eastpointe police officers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven store near Nine Mile and Hayes roads Friday morning and found a man and woman sleeping inside of a vehicle in the parking lot.

Police learned the vehicle had been stolen out of Taylor and when officers approached, the driver sped off, sideswiping the police SUV and nearly hitting one of the officers.

Officers pursued the suspect vehicle, which they said was traveling more than 70 mph, nearly striking other vehicles while heading the wrong way on Gratiot Avenue before speeding down residential streets.

Roseville officers jointed the pursuit but both departments terminated the chase due to the danger to other motorists.

Police are asking for the occupants of the vehicle to turn themselves in. Anyone with information is urged to call Eastpointe police at 586-445-5100.
