1. Nigeria – 19.6

With a cost of living index of 19.6, Nigeria ranks number 1 place with the cheapest cost of living in Africa.

Meanwhile, the country’s currency in May has ranked as thw worst performing currency in the world after it depreciated by as much as 26.8 per cent compared to previous month.

Nigeria’s headline consumer inflation accelerated to a new 28-year high in April, hitting 33.69% year-on-year, up from 33.20% in March.
