Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party has no intention of folding to join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

PAA Secretary General Lucas Maitha said despite  mounted pressure they won’t fold their party to join UDA.

He argued that is why they formed the party towards the last general elections.

“The party is currently doing thorough consultations despite some quarters having hinted that Amani National Congress [ANC] has succumbed to pressure and has resolved to join UDA,” he disclosed.

Maitha pointed  out their party is consulting on two  issues before the folding of the party comes into force.

He was speaking during a media briefing at Hotel Sapphire in Mombasa county.

Maitha, who was flanked by Rabai lawmaker Anthony Kenga and his Ganze counterpart Charo Kazungu, told the media other political parties are still in place after the last polls.

He aded the party has learned from previous mergers and they are not ready to fall into a trap.

“The country’s political scene has a record of collapsed mergers in the political arena,” he pointed out.
