A TEEN girl has died after being shot inside a shopping mall.

Chaos unfolded at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington, about 16 miles north of Seattle, on Wednesday.

Gunshots were heard after a fight involving two groups of teens broke out near the food court, police told local Fox affiliate KCPQ-TV.

A girl who wasn’t involved in the fight was hit by a bullet and rushed to the hospital.

Cops have since confirmed that Jayda Woods-Johnson, 13, has died.

The shooter, 16, turned himself in and faces murder charges.

Lynnwood officers revealed that his mother took him to the police station.

Mall workers have spoken of the chaos that erupted.

“It was very scary, everyone was running and in a state of panic and it was very scary,” retail worker James Jacobo told ABC affiliate KOMO-TV.

He said he heard a loud boom before two men whipped out a gun.

Jacobo admitted he thought a person had dropped something.

He revealed customers started running as a panic set in.

Mall workers then scrambled to evacuate customers into stores in a desperate bid to keep them safe.

Police have described the violence as senseless.

SCARY SCENE

They revealed they’re continuing to comb the scene for clues as their probe continues.

They added that they have not yet recovered the gun involved in this tragic incident.

Surveillance footage was released and police said they wanted to speak to a boy wearing a white sweatshirt.

Police urged locals to call 911 if they recognized the boy as they believed he was armed.

The mall was locked down and a shelter-in-place order was issued following reports of the shooting.

This order has since been lifted.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.

They confirmed there’s no threat to the public.
