Singer Speed Darlington recently shared his disappointment and frustration after a costly date with a woman he had been interested in.

This experience came shortly after his public announcement about seeking a serious relationship.

However, he was dismayed to find that he had spent a substantial amount – N85,000, without any physical intimacy.

In a recent video, Speed Darlington expressed his discontent, stating that he had initially intended to limit his spending to N5,000, as he believed the first date should focus on getting to know each other, not showcasing money.

He jokingly stated that he could have found a more affordable companion for the night and questioned his own judgment, having spent N42,000 without even seeing his date’s bra.

In another story, Speed Darlington opens up on why he can’t marry a lady who’s been to Lagos.

In a video shared on his social media page, Speed Darlington recounted an experience he had at an airport, where he observed a Nigerian lady accompanied by a Caucasian man.

Using this sighting as a starting point, the singer began criticizing the behavior of women in Lagos, especially how they prioritize making money over everything else.

Expressing his views, Speed Darlington asserted that a significant number of women residing in or having lived in Lagos tend to prioritize money above all else.

He lamented what he perceives as a prevailing culture of materialism and opportunism among women in the city, implying that such traits are undesirable in a potential life partner.
